Ten years ago, when Mr. Shu Fan started his Chinese Medicine for Nature Fertility and Women Wellness, he had no idea that the practice would rise to its excellence in so much connection to Western reproductive medicine, IUI/IVF, and infertility. The goal of the new practice was simple—to provide cutting edge Chinese Medicine for complementary and alternative fertility care in an environment that supported patients’ physical, emotional, and financial needs—and to make future business and clinical decisions based on what is in the best interest of the patients.

Initially, ensuring a positive experience and engaging in a quest to raise the bar of success for patients meant implementing the best of the best— from Chinese Medicine providers to other health care professionals. It meant incorporating the best modalities, investing in top of the line Chinese herbs, Partnering with local IVF centers and continually finding ways to make treatment more affordable and accessible.

There are many different ways to get to one goal. Both Chinese and Western medicines have accomplished great feats over the last century, treating numerous diseases, saving thousands of lives, and improving the quality of life for countless peoples. Using the best of both worlds, it is possible to increase the success rate of IVF significantly.

In fact, a German study found that using acupuncture with IVF achieved a 42% clinical pregnancy rate in the test group, compared to 26% in the control group that did not receive acupuncture. Our clinical experience is that the rate can increase more with broader support of both Chinese herbs and acupuncture in preparation for and support throughout the IVF procedure. And both of these modalities can significantly reduce the miscarriage risk by supporting the female during her entire pregnancy. As one of our respectful doctor, Dr. Lifang Liang had achieved at 60% clinic pregnancy in her published book.
