Pesticides on fruits and vegetables could account for 49 percent loss in sperm
A major study of men’s sperm found that those who ate regular quantities of fruit and vegetables that had pesticide residue on them had half the sperm count of men who ate less, a new Harvard University study showed.
While this study has conducted on men, pesticides can cause the similar damage on women reproductive system. We all know fruits and vegetables are important food resource for human’s fertility functions. So how to avoid or limit the pesticide?
1) purchase organic food
2) peer off skin of fruits and vegetables
3) wash with water to reduce dirt, germs, and pesticide residues remaining on fruit and vegetable surfaces
